The government has granted "clean and clear" status to 211 mining business permits of both coal and mineral mining companies that have no overlapping areas with any other mining permit holder.
Director General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Thamrin Sihite announced the the names of companies with clean and clear status on May 30.
It is the fourth announcement made by the government on the same matter so far.
The first announcement was made in July 2011 awarding the clean and clear status to 1,509 IUP holders. The second and the third ones came in February 28 and May 10 with 373 and 235 companies, respectively, were declared as having clean and clear status.
The government has made the clean and clear status as one of requirements for miners to be allowed to export mineral ores before 2014.
